I arrived on the lake in the early hours to see the mist rising off this famous venue, and, after a walk around the 62 acre gravel pit I found a small group of fish crashing and rolling as the sun began to warm their backs. As I started setting up well away from the water’s edge, I decided to fish small PVA bags as I have had a great deal of success in weedy waters with this method; not only does it assist bait presentation, it also creates much less disturbance in the swim. I prefer to use smaller PVA bags as I think they make less noise when they hit the water .I think it almost sounds like a coot diving.
